Degree or its equivalent in Chemical Technology from a recognized University / Institution covering any one or more of the following fields :a) Petroleum Products, b) Paints and Corrosion Prevention c) Polymers. Knowledge of any computer language will be essential.

Metallurgical Supervisor / Research

Degree or its equivalent in Metallurgical Engineering from a recognized University / Institution. Knowledge of any computer language will be essential.

EXAMINATION FEE:

Candidates will have to pay the prescribed fee as per their community/category detailed below:

1 For all candidates (except categories mentioned below at SI. No. 2). Out of this fee of ₹500/-, an amount of ₹400/- shall be refunded duly deducting bank charges, on appearing in 1st stage CBT

2 For candidates who belong to SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Female, Transgender, Minorities or Economically Backward Class (EBC). (Caution to Candidates: EBC should not be confused with OBC or EWS).

This fee of ₹250/- shall be refunded duly deducting bank charges as applicable, on appearing in 1st stage CBT

ઉંમર મર્યાદા:

Age (as on 01.01.2025): 18 - 36 years. (Please see Para 5.1 & 5.2 for details about age & its relaxations).

AGE RELAXATION:

The following relaxations in upper age limit / maximum upper age for the following categories / communities in the table below are applicable subject to submission of requisite certificates

Scale of Pay:

(i) Junior Engineer (JE), Depot Material Superintendent (DMS) and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA): Level 6 (RSRP 7th CPC Pay Matrix.) with initial pay of ₹35,400/-, plus other allowances admissible at that time.

(ii) Chemical Supervisor / Research and Metallurgical Supervisor / Research Level 7 (RSRP 7th CPC Pay Matrix.) with initial pay of ₹ 44,900/-, plus other allowances admissible at that time.

NATIONALITY / CITIZENSHIP:

A Candidate must be either: (i) a citizen of India, or (ii) a citizen of Nepal, or (iii) a subject of Bhutan, or (iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before 01.01.1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. (vi) Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above, shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

પસંદગી પ્રક્રિયા:

(a) Candidates should apply only through online mode through the official websites of any RRBs. Candidates can apply to only one RRB and only one common online application (in order of preference for any or all the notified posts). The selection of RRB once exercised shall be final. Application to more than one RRB by a candidate will lead to rejection of all the applications.

(b) The recruitment process shall comprise of the following stages:

(i) 1 st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-I)

(ii) 2 nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-II)

(iii) Document Verification (DV)

(iv) Medical Examination (ME)

(c) Information on examination schedule and venues will be given to eligible candidates in due course through RRB websites, SMS and/or email.

(d) Request for postponement of any of the stages or for change of venue, date and shift will not be entertained under any circumstances.

1 st Stage CBT (Common for all notified posts of this CEN)

Duration : 90 minutes (120 Minutes for eligible PwBD candidates accompanied with Scribe)

No. of Questions : 100

General Science:

Physics, Chemistry and Life Sciences (up to 10th Standard CBSE syllabus). The section wise Number of questions and marks are as below:

2 nd Stage CBT:

Duration : 120 minutes (160 Minutes for eligible PwBD candidates accompanied with Scribe)

No of Questions : 150

Technical Abilities:

The educational qualifications mentioned against each post shown in Annexure-A, have been grouped into different exam groups as below. Questions on the Technical abilities will be framed in the syllabus defined for various Exam Groups given at Annexure-VII-A, B, C, D, E & F. The section wise Number of questions and marks are as below:

DOCUMENT VERIFICATION (DV):

(a) Candidates will be shortlisted for Document Verification based on their marks and merit in the 2 nd stage CBT and options. The number of shortlisted candidates will be equal to the number of vacancies.

(b) In case two or more candidates secure equal marks, their merit position shall be determined by age criteria i.e., the older candidate shall be given higher merit than the younger candidate

(c) Appointment of selected candidates is subject to their passing the requisite Medical Fitness Test to be conducted by the Railway Administration and final verification of all essential documents and verification of antecedents / character of the candidates
