The Gujarat Subordinate Service Selection Board (GSSSB) has officially released a notification regarding the Revised Selection List and Waiting List for the post of Forest Guard (Vanrakshak) Class-3 under Advertisement No. Forest/202223/1. This revision comes in compliance with the oral order of the Hon’ble Gujarat High Court concerning the physical measurement (height) of certain candidates. After re-verification at Sola Civil Hospital, Ahmedabad, eligible candidates have been included in the merit list, leading to changes in the Selection and Waiting lists for Tapi and Amreli districts.
The original selection list was published on 23/11/2025. Following the court’s direction, 3 out of 5 petitioners were found fit in the height re-measurement. Consequently, the merit list has been updated on 07 January 2026. Candidates who applied for these districts are advised to check the revised lists (Annexure-A and Annexure-B) immediately. 📄✅

📋 Details of Revision: High Court Order Effect
Five candidates challenged their disqualification in the Physical Efficiency Test (Height measurement) in the Gujarat High Court. Upon re-verification at Sola Civil Hospital, the following candidates were found FIT and subsequently added to the merit list:
- Ajaybhai Kanjibhai Solanki (166.4 cm) – Added to Tapi Selection List (Merit No. 724).
- Bhupeshkumar Lakshmanbhai Jhampada (163.0 cm) – Added to Amreli Waiting List (Merit No. 02).
- Ashvinbhai Rasikbhai Sonagara (163.7 cm) – Found FIT but marks (150.817) were below the cutoff for Junagadh District, hence remains in the unsuccessful list.
📉 Impact on Existing Merit List
- Tapi District: Due to the inclusion of Ajaybhai Solanki in the Selection List, candidate Bhavanbhai Nagjibhai Sindhav (Merit No. 726) has been moved from the Selection List to the Waiting List (Merit No. 114). Consequently, Pirabhai Manabhai Rabari has lost his place in the Waiting List.
- Amreli District: Due to the inclusion of Bhupeshkumar Jhampada in the Waiting List, candidate Takhubhai Balubhai Makwana has lost his place in the Waiting List.
