GSSSB Important Notice 2025 – Postponement of Laboratory Technician & Work Assistant Class-3 Exams

 

The Gujarat Subordinate Service Selection Board (GSSSB), Gandhinagar, has released an official notification regarding the postponement of two major Class-3 level competitive exams. The affected examinations are Laboratory Technician (Chemistry Group) under Advertisement No. 237/202425 and Work Assistant under Advertisement No. 304/202526.

 

Initially, these exams were scheduled to be held on 07 September 2025 in MCQ – CBRT mode across Gujarat. However, since the Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) has also announced its DySO & Deputy Mamlatdar Preliminary Exam (Class-3) on the same date, several candidates raised concerns about the clash of exam schedules.

Considering these representations, GSSSB has decided to postpone both examinations. The new exam dates will be announced later on the official website of GSSSB.

This decision provides relief to aspirants who were preparing for multiple competitive exams at once, ensuring they get a fair chance to appear in all examinations without scheduling conflicts.

📢 Why Did GSSSB Postpone These Exams?

The exams were postponed due to an exam date clash. The GPSC DySO & Deputy Mamlatdar Preliminary Exam is scheduled on the same day (07-09-2025). Many candidates had applied for both GPSC and GSSSB exams.

Had GSSSB continued with its schedule, several aspirants would have missed one of the exams, leading to unfairness. To avoid such conflicts and ensure equal opportunity, GSSSB made the student-friendly decision to reschedule its exams.

ગુજરાત જાહેર સેવા આયોગ દ્વારા તા.૦૭/૦૯/૨૦૨૫ ના રોજ નાયબ સેકશન અધિકારી અને નાયબ મામલતદાર, વર્ગ-૩ સંવર્ગની પ્રાથમિક કસોટીનું આયોજન કરવામાં આવેલ હોવા અંગે ઉમેદવારો તરફથી મળેલ રજૂઆતો અન્વયે ઉક્ત બન્ને સંવર્ગોની પરીક્ષાઓ મુલતવી રાખવામાં આવે છે. આ મુલતવી રાખવામાં આવેલ પરીક્ષાની તારીખ હવે પછી નિયત થયેથી મંડળની વેબસાઈટ પર પ્રસિદ્ધ કરવામાં આવશે, જેની સંબંધિત ઉમેદવારોએ નોંધ લેવી.

📖 What is MCQ – CBRT Exam Pattern?

Both the Lab Technician and Work Assistant exams are conducted through MCQ – CBRT (Computer-Based Recruitment Test).

·         MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions): Objective-type questions with four options.

·         CBRT (Computer-Based Recruitment Test): Conducted online in examination centers.

·         Candidates must select the correct answer within the allotted time.

This method ensures fairness, transparency, and quick result processing.
