2017- લાંબા સમયથી કેન્સરથી પીડાતા હિન્દી ફિલ્મ અભિનેતા વિનોદ ખન્નાનું 70 વર્ષની વયે અવસાન થયું હતું.

2010 – યુનિક આઈડેન્ટિફિકેશન ઓથોરિટી ઓફ ઈન્ડિયા (UIDAI) એ યુનિક આઈડેન્ટિફિકેશન નંબર પર નવું બ્રાન્ડ નામ ‘આધાર’ અને નવો લોગો રજૂ કર્યો, જે ભારતના નાગરિકોની ઓળખનો મુખ્ય પુરાવો બન્યો છે.

2008 –મોરોક્કોમાં ગાદલાની ફેક્ટરીમાં લાગેલી આગમાં ઓછામાં ઓછા 55 લોકોના મોત થયા છે.

2008 –પાકિસ્તાને તેના વિદેશ સચિવ રિયાઝ મુહમ્મદ ખાનને હટાવી દીધા છે અને તેમના સ્થાને ચીનમાં પાકિસ્તાનના રાજદૂત સલમાન બશીરને વિદેશ સચિવ તરીકે નિયુક્ત કર્યા છે.

• મુમતાઝ મહેલ (1593) – મુઘલ બાદશાહ શાહજહાંના સૌથી પ્રિય બેગમ હતા, જેમની યાદમાં વિશ્વ પ્રસિદ્ધ તાજમેહલ બનાવ્યું.
• પી. સતશિવમ (1949) – ભારતની સર્વોચ્ચ અદાલતના ન્યાયાધીશ.

• હર્બર્ટ સ્પેન્સર (1820) – પ્રખ્યાત શિક્ષણશાસ્ત્રી, ફિલોસોફર અને સમાજશાસ્ત્રી હતા.

 

• 1941 – Dilip Kumar Chakrabarti is an Indian archaeologist who is a former Professor of South Asian Archaeology at Cambridge University. He is also a Senior Fellow at the McDonald Institute for Archaeological Research, Cambridge University, and is known for his studies on the early use of iron in India and the archaeology of Eastern India.
• 1948 – Harish Rawat is an Indian politician who was Chief Minister of Uttarakhand during 2014–2017. He is a five-time Member of the Parliament and is a leader of the Indian National Congress party.
• 1949 – Palanisamy Sathasivam was the 40th Chief Justice of India, holding the office from 2013 to 2014. On retirement from his judicial career, he was appointed as the 21st Governor of Kerala from 5 September 2014 to 4 September 2019.
• 1960 – Syed Akbaruddin is a 1985 batch Indian Foreign Service officer, currently serving as India’s permanent representative at the United Nations in New York since January 2016.
• 1976 – Faisal Saif is an Indian film director, writer, and film critic who began his career as an assistant director with veterans such as Balu Mahendra.
• 1593 – Mumtaz Mahal was the Empress of the Mughal Empire from 19 January 1628 to 17 June 1631 as the wife of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. The Taj Mahal in Agra which is often cited as one of the Wonders of the World was commissioned by her husband as her tomb.

• હેમંત દાસ (2010) – ઉડિયા ફિલ્મ અભિનેતા, ‘સેસા શ્રબાના’, ‘જજબારા’, ‘ચિલ્કા’, ‘દંડા બલુંગા’ અને ‘હકીમ બાબુ’.
• ફિરોઝ ખાન (2009) – પ્રખ્યાત અભિનેતા અને ફિલ્મ નિર્માતા-નિર્દેશક
• 2017-વિનોદ ખન્ના – પ્રખ્યાત અભિનેતા અને રાજકારણી.
• ગુયેન વૈન સિંહ (1998) – વિયેતનામની કમ્યુનિસ્ટ પાર્ટીના જનરલ સેક્રેટરી હતા.
• ટી.કે. માધવન (1930) – કેરળના પ્રખ્યાત સમાજ સુધારક હતા.

 

• 1930 – T. K. Madhavan was an Indian social reformer, journalist, and revolutionary. He was involved with the Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana and came from Kerala. He also led the struggle against untouchability which was known as ‘Vaikom Satyagraha’.
• 1960 – Rajshekhar Basu, also known as Parashuram, was a Bengali writer, chemist, and lexicographer. He was majorly known for his comic and satirical short stories. He is also considered the greatest Bengali humorist of the twentieth century and was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 1956.
• 2009 – Feroz Khan, born as Zulfiqar Ali Shah Khan, was an Indian actor, film editor, director, and producer, who is best known for his work in the Hindi cinema.
• 2017 – Vinod Khanna was an Indian actor, film producer, and politician. He is a recipient of two Filmfare awards and was also an active politician. He was the MP from the Gurdaspur constituency between 1998–2009 and 2014–2017.
